If you are considering breast reduction you already know the physical and psychological toll overly-large breasts can take.  Back pain, neck pain, headaches, and breathing problems are only part of equation.  A disproportionate figure and the inability to find well-fitting, complimentary clothing can lead to anxiety and diminished self-esteem.

The Procedure

Incisions for reductions follow the contour beneath the breast and around the areola. Dr. Diehl will then remove excess tissue, fat and skin from the breast. Next, Dr. Diehl repositions nipple, areola and underlying tissue and recontours the breast for a natural appearance.

The Recovery

Sutures used in breast reduction surgery are usually invisible beneath the skin and will dissolve after healing is complete. As with other breast surgeries, you will be released with a light dressing and a special bra.   While some scarring is unavoidable, with proper care, with time they will become more faint.
