Inverted Nipple Correction

If you have “shy” or inverted nipples that you have had from birth, from breast feeding, or from trauma, inverted nipple correction is a simple procedure that can repair the nipple projection

The Procedure

Dr. Diehl will create a small incision at the base of the nipple,then gently spread the fibers parallel to the milk ducts.  Once the fibers are spread, and the nipple is in an outward, normal position, Dr. Diehl will use special sutures inside the nipple to add reinforcement, and to help the nipple retain its projected position.

The Recovery

Recovery is relatively simple.  Most patients can return to usual activities, including work, in a few days.
