Ear Lobe Repair

Earlobes that have been damaged by piercing, wearing heavy earrings, or through a minor accident, can normally be repaired quickly in an outpatient procedure. 

The Procedure

Dr. Diehl can “refresh” most earlobes in approximately 30 minutes by suturing tears or elongated holes.  Local anesthesia is all that is needed for this routine procedure. 

The Recovery

You can expect mild pain for one-two days, and will need to keep the affected area clean to prevent infection.  With normal healing, you can safely pierce the ear after three months.
